Blue River Capital through its Mauritius based Investment company has bought 10.22% stake in Rane Holdings (RHL), the holding company of Chennai-based auto component manufacturer, Rane Group.
With this acquisition Blue River will now join the Rs 14 billion Rane Group’s board of directors.
Rane Holdings shares have gained Rs 1.9, or 1.23%, and are trading at Rs 155.9 as on Friday.

Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (IDFC) a leading infrastructure development finance company in India is planning to raise Rs 120 to 140 billion in the current fiscal year.
The company will raise this amount from the domestic debt market to fund infrastructure projects in sectors like ports, roads, logistics and telecom in the country.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has won a repeat order valued at over US$ 70 million for construction of two ship from RollDock BV of The Netherlands, (erstwhile Zadeko Shipmanagement CV).The stock was yup by 65 to 75 rs on early trade , its just up by 20 rs or so while closing.

MCorpGlobal owned Spice Telecom launched India’s first free cell phone with Spice connection for less than Rs 1000. Under the offer, the new subscriber can get a Spice monochrome handset (model 404n) free for just Rs 999. Announcing the offer, Spice Telecom (Karnataka) Vice President Rakesh Singh said, ”Spice is the first GSM operator in India to offer a handset free with sim card for as low as Rs 999.
Mr Singh claimed that it had sold 1.8 lakh connections so far this year and expected to take it to 2.8 lakhs by the year end. Spice had a subscriber base of 1.2 million in the state and over all three million in the state and Punjab, the two states where it operated. The free handsets would be available in 268 towns and cities through 17,000 outlets in Karnataka, he added.

3i Infotech secured a project for implementing the Integrated Information Infrastructure (I-3) from government of Goa. The government of Goa announced the launch of GoaOnline portal today, which will enable citizens to access services through the internet. A unique initiative, the project also involves the setting up of 208 citizen service centres (CSCs) and a state data centre.

DLF,announced the launch of its first IT SEZ at Nagpur, Maharashtra on 140 acres of land with an investment of about Rs 10 billion and is expected to be operational in 3 years. DLF IT park is part of MIHAN(Multi Modal Internation Hub Airport) at Napur.
DLF IT SEZ / Park will become an important part of the MIHAN and at the same time will generate 50,000 jobs, directly or indirectly.

DLF clinched the deal to develop an integrated town ship on 95 acres at Durgapur in the heart of the city. The public-private participation (PPP) project envisaged by the Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA) is expected to invite investment of up to Rs 40 billion and is to be completed in four years.
Based on a cross-subsidy model, the Dugrapur project will cater to all segments and comprise of co-operative housing plots, residences for low, middle and high income groups as well as bungalows, individual plots, commercial and retail space, the company said.
With this project, the company reinforces its strong commitment for West Bengal. The company is developing around 5,000 acre township and a textile SEZ at Dankuni, two IT parks at Rajarhat, luxury, budget hotels and service apartment in Kolkata.
