United Breweries  Rights Issue price has been fixed and announced by the company today to the exchanges. United Breweries earlier announced that the company will issue Rights Shares in the ratio of 1:9 (1 Rights share for 9 equity shares held) at the rate of Rs. 177 per equity share. United Breweries Rights issue Record Date has been fixed as April 21st , 2008. United Breweries is currently trading at Rs 189.15 on the BSE which indicates that the investors can buy the shares in the general market as there is no much difference in the rights  price and the secondary market price.

State Bank of India Rights Issue opened today for subscription and the bank has fixed 4th, February 2008 as the Record Date for the Rights issue. State Bank of India Rights issue will raise over Rs.16,736 crore from the eligible share holders and the Government of India. SBI Rights issue price has been fixed at Rs. 1590 per share and the Rights issue ratio will be 1:5 ( One Rights share for every 5 equity shares held). This is the first rights issue by SBI a public sector bank in India, in which the government of India holds 59.73 per cent and the retail investors hold 5.96 per cent. Through the rights issue retail investors can acquire additional shares at a price that is normally lower than the current market price.Shares of State Bank of India are currently trading at Rs 2,278 and investors can definitely invest in the rights issue of SBI as the bank is poised to deliver good numbers in the coming quarters. Dhanalakshmi Bank Rights Issue will be considered in the upcoming meeting of the company which is to be held on January 14, 2008. Century Extrusions Rights issue has been approved by the board members today and in the statement issued today says “The Rights Equity Issue will be be for 3 cr 30 lakh equity equity shares of face value of Re 1/- each at a price of Rs 4/- per equity share (including a premium of Rs 3 per equity share) in the ratio of 33:47 (33 new shares for every 47 shares held). Century Extrusions Rights issue record date is not yet fixed and will be announced later.

Gangotri Iron & Steel Company Rights issue has been approved, the board of directors at their meeting held on 13th December, 2007, decided to raise more funds by issue of equity shares on rights basis for an amount of Rs 150 million. EGM of share holders will be held on January 11, 2008 to take the aproval of the share holders. Gangotri Iron Rights issue date, offer details and premium will be decided soon.

Entegra Rights issue news made the stock to hit upper circuit of 5 percent , in the morning trade the stock has touched 52 week high of Rs. 69.70 locked at upper circuit and cooled off now to trade at Rs. 68.50. The Board meeting of Entegra limited will be held on 19th , December 2007 to consider the Right issue and take on the financial results of the company.
