Steel Authority of India Limited, has announced its Second Quarter Results and the company’s Q2 net profit increased to Rs 1700 crore when compared with Rs 1442 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year .

SAIL’s net sales stood at  Rs 9467 crore  and Income from other sources stood at Rs 304 crore.

According to Analyst’s estimates, the company was expected to post 32.7% growth in its net profit of Rs 1914.3 crore and net sales were seen going up 18% at Rs 10078.7 crore.

The results of SAIL were not in line with the expected numbers and the the stock closed at Rs 262.60 down 4.99% on the National Stock Exchange.
 

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced their numbers today and the company has posted excellent Results for the quarter ended September 30,2007.

The Company registered a profit after tax of Rs 348 crore, growth of 73% over the correspoding quarter previous year.

Gross sales stood at Rs 5574 crore for the which registered at year on year growth of 47%.

Following is the Segments wise breakup of Larsen & Toubro Results

Engineering & Construction (E&C) Segment revenue for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 was at Rs. 4263 crore reflect an increase of 55% when compared to the same period of the previous year.

Electrical & Electronics segment maintained steady growth in its Order Inflow and Sale with the segment revenue at Rs. 672 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 which grew by 44 % .

Machinery & Industrial Products Segment posted Revenue of Rs. 592 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2007, registering a healthy increase of 36% over the same period of the previous year.

The stock closed up today 3,872.80 426.60 (12.38%) on the NSE based on the good numbers the company have posted.

Idea Cellular has posted its second quarter numbers for the quarter ending September 30,2007 today. The company posted a net profit after tax of Rs 2203.80 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 1101.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

Idea Cellular Net Sales were Rs. 303950 lacs for half year ending on 30-SEP-2007 and the total Revenue has also increased from Rs 10128.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 15643.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.

The company has nearly doubled its Net profit after tax when compared to last year. The stock price of Idea Cellular closed today at Rs 152 up 3.65% on the BSE based on the good set of numbers they have posted.

Reliance Capital have announced their Second quarter results today, the company’s Net Profit stood at Rs 201 crore for the quarter ended September 2007, when compared to Rs 167 core of the same quarter last year.

Reliance Capital’s Consolidated net profit stood at Rs 200.1 crore versus Rs 192 crore. Standalone net sales went up to Rs 385 crore from Rs 223 crore. Reliance Capital’s consolidated net sales went up to Rs 912.1 crore from Rs 536.5 crore.

Shares of Reliance Capital were last trading at Rs 1801 on the BSE at 3.15 pm. 

Motherson Sumi Systems have announced their Seocond Quarter Results today. The Net Proft of the Company stood at Rs 38.2 crore.

Motherson Sumi Systems have posted very good numbers compared to their previous quarter. Second Quarter FY08 Net profit is up at Rs 38.3 crore when compared to previous year’s second quarter net profit of Rs 29.8 crore.

Net sales of Motherson Sumi Systems were up at Rs 427.9 crore versus Rs 381 crore in last quarter previous year.

Shares of the company were last trading at Rs 95 on the Indian Stock Market BSE at 3 Pm.

Suzlon Energy has posted its second quarter results and the company has posted a net profit of Rs 398 crore for the quarter ending September 30,2007 when compared to Rs 20.03 crore in the last quarter of previous year.

The company’s total income stood at Rs 3641 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 when compared to Rs 1944.6 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

Suzlon Energy in the previous quarter came up with disappointing numbers but this quarter the company has posted good results and the order book of the company also stands very will.

Suzlon Energy’s Order Book stands at Rs 16,328.04 crore and the company has projected firm numbers for the coming quarter.

The stock price of Suzlon Energy closed at Rs 1741.06 up 9.84% on the BSE based on the Good Results they have posted.

SKF India has today announced its Q3 results and the company’s net profit for this quarter grew by 92% compared to the last quarter in previous financial year.

Net Profit of the company for the quarter ended September 2007 was up 92% to Rs 43.10 crore compared with Rs 22.39 crore in the same quarter previous year.

Total income of the company also increased 14% to Rs 388.79 crore from Rs 341.10 crore an year ago.

SKF India shares were trading at Rs 373 down Rs 4.65 or 1.23% on the BSE.
