Maral Overseas Rights Issue

The board members of Maral Overseas Limited in their board meeting has approved the Rights issue.

Maral Overseas will issue the equity shares of the Rights Issue through the Book Building Route. The Rights issue price band is Rs 18 to Rs 21 and the Rights issue ratio is 1:2.

The company’s share holders will get 1 share under the rights issue for every 2 equity shares held by them as on the Record date of the Rights issue.

Maral Overseas Rights Issue Record date has been not yet fixed by the Board members.

Sesa Goa Results for Quarter ended September 30,2007

Sesa Goa has announced their results and the company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 821 crore for the quarter ended september 2007.

Sesa Goa Ltd. Results for the quarter ended 30-SEP-2007 are as follows:

Net Sales of Rs. 33111.51 lacs for quarter ended on 30-SEP-2007 against Rs. 22624.12 lacs for the quarter ended on 30-SEP-2006.

Net Profit of Rs. 8213.28 lacs for the quarter ended on 30-SEP-2007 against Rs. 2566.23 lacs for the quarter ended on 30-SEP-2006.

Sesa Goa stock closed at Rs 3627.15 up 1.82%  at the National Stock Exchange of India on October 30th,2007.

Puravankara Projects Q2 September 30, 2007 Results

Pruavankara Projects Limited have announced their Second quarter results, the company has posted a PAT, Proft after tax of Rs 538.82 million.

Puravankara Projects Total Revenue increased to Rs 1410 million for the quarter ended september 30,2007 from Rs 973.42 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year ended September 30,2006.

Tata Power Q2 Results : Net Profit at Rs 257 cr

Tata Power Company has announced their second quarter results and the company’s Q2 net profit stood at Rs 257 crore.

The company has reported its total income at Rs 1,482 crore and the company has gained Rs 9 crore in Forex this quarter as against previous quarter’s Rs 6.5 crore.

The shares of Tata Power Company closed at Rs 1197.95 , up 1.29% on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

HDFC Life Insurance IPO by 2009

India’s Leading Mortagage Company, Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC), is planning to launch an IPO for the Bank’s Insurance Venture in the year 2009.

HDFC chairman has said that “We hope to come out with an IPO of HDFC Life Insurance Venture by the year end of 2009. HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Limited, is a joint venture in which the British Insurance Company Standard Life holds 18.1 per cent stake.

HDFC Life Insurance has started operations in the year 2000 and the gross premium income of HDFC Life Insurance for the Year ended March 2007 stood at Rs 2856 crore.

It would be interesting to see Insurance companies hitting the IPO markets. HDFC Life Insurance IPO would be a good interesting bet for the investors if the IPO takes off.

Idea Cellular, Cairns Energy to trade in Nifty from December 12th

Idea Cellular Limited and Cairn’s India will trade in Nifty from December 12, 2007.

Both the stocks are trading in the Junior Nifty and from 12th December they will be trading in the Nifty.

Idea Cellular and Cairn India will l replace MTNL and HPCL in Nifty.

DLF Q2 FY08 Results : Net profit at Rs 2018 cr

Real Estate major DLF has announced its second quarter results for the quarter ended september 2007 . DLF has posted net profit of Rs 2018 crore and the sales of the company stood at Rs 3250 crore.

DLF has also informed the Indian Stock Exchanges that the Board of Directors of the company declared Interim Dividend of Rs 2 per equity share for the Financial Year 2007-2008.

Stock price of DLF closed today at Rs 963.15 up 5.78% on the Bombay Stock Exchange based on the good results the company has posted.

The Dividend record date of DLF has been not yet fixed by the company.
