Shipping Corporation of India Bonus Issue proposal will be considered by the board of directors in their upcoming meeting which will be held on May 20, 2008. Bonus shares will be recommended to the administrative ministry i.e. ministry of shipping, road transport & highways, Govt. of India.
SCI was established on Oct. 2, 1961 by the amalgamation of Eastern Shipping Corporation and Western Shipping Corporation. Starting out as a marginal liner shipping company with just 19 vessels, the SCI today has metamorphosed into a giant conglomerate with substantial interests in 10 different segments of the shipping trade. SCI owns and operates about 35% of the Indian tonnage and operates in practically all areas of shipping business servicing both national and international trades.
Shares of the Shipping Coporation of India gained Rs 1.95, or 0.81%, to settle at Rs 243.55.

Kaashyap Technologies board of directors at their meeting held on May 09, 2008 recommended the issue of fully paid-up equity shares as bonus shares in the ratio of 1:6.
The board also considered and decided to convert 5,00,00,000 share warrants issued on a preferential basis on October 04, 2007 into equity shares of face value of Rs 1/- each at a premium of Rs 3/- each.
Shares of Kaashyap Technologies were last trading up Rs 0.01, or 0.5%, at Rs 2.01. Kaashyap Technologies Bonus issue record date is not yet announced and will be updated later.

Aro Granite Bonus issue is approved by the board members in their board meeting. Aro Granite Bonus shares will be allotted to the share holders in the ratio of 1:2.
Aro Granite have announced their results yesterday, and the company has posted a net profit of Rs 2.57 crore which is 28% decline compared to the previous quarter. Despite the bad results because of the bonus news the company’s shares gained 1.53 per cent to close at Rs. 113 on the BSE.

Reliance Power Bonus Issue Update : Reliance Power Ltd has informed the Record Date of Reliance Power Bonus Issue. The company in an annoucment made has informed to the Members that the Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from June 03, 2008 to June 05, 2008 for the purpose of Issue and allotment of Reliance Power Bonus shares.
Reliance Power Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on February 24, 2008, has approved a proposal for issuing free bonus shares to all categories of shareholders, excluding the promoter group (comprising of Reliance Energy Ltd. and the ADA Group), in the ratio of 3 shares for every 5 shares held, subject to necessary approvals.
The proposed bonus offering will result in reduction of the cost of Reliance Power shares below the IPO price as follows:
Rs 269 per share for retail investors, 40% lower than the IPO price of Rs 430.
Rs 281 per share for other investors, 37% lower than the IPO price of Rs 450.
